Before You Come In
Come with your hair freshly washed, completely dry and free of wax, heavy butters and leave-ins. If you cannot prepare it this way, explain that in the booking notes because extra preparation may require more time or a rescheduled service.

Loc Questions
What's the difference between new locs and maintenance?
New locs means creating the set from loose hair — sectioning and forming every loc, which takes several hours. Maintenance keeps an existing set tidy: retwisting or interlocking the regrowth at the roots.
How often should I book maintenance?
Every four to eight weeks for most people. Faster growth and finer texture sit at the short end; if you like a lived-in root, stretch it longer. I'll tell you what your hair actually needs.
Should I wash my hair before my appointment?
Yes — freshly washed and completely dry, with nothing in it. Product residue stops locs holding their twist.
My locs are long and thick. How long will it take?
Longer and denser sets can take more than one hour. Start online booking and upload the requested photos so Samir can confirm the right duration and quote; do not assume a one-hour maintenance booking will be enough.
Can you fix locs that were started badly?
Usually, yes. Uneven sections, thin roots and lumpy mids can almost always be improved with crochet work and patient maintenance. Bring them in and I'll give you a straight answer.
